The Cara Program’s seventh annual Celebration of Hope will be held in the Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center on October 10th, 2008.

The evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing will include exciting live and silent auction packages, live music by The Business and wonderful dusk views of Millennium Park.

Why the Celebration of Hope?
Each year, The Cara Program holds the Celebration of Hope to raise awareness of the challenges surrounding poverty and homelessness in our society, share the achievements of formerly homeless individuals who are building real and lasting success, and raise funds to help more individuals secure and sustain quality employment.

You can also support this event by donating items for our auction, including sporting event boxes, airline tickets, stays at vacation homes, hotel stays, quality consumer goods and services. We have five general categories for the auction, including Pamper Yourself, Chicago - My Kind of Town, SportZone, From Sea to Shining Sea (vacations) and Night on the Town.

How much is raised at this event?
The Cara Program aims to raise approximately $200,000 from this event.

 

What do the funds raised go to support?
All of the proceeds raised at the Celebration of Hope go directly to program services. Since the Cara Program’s Board of Directors covers all of our administrative and fundraising costs, you can be assured that your contribution is used to help Cara students become successful and self-sufficient citizens.
